Scholarships for Undergraduate Commerce Students

The College of Commerce Scholarship Program is possible due to the generosity of Commerce alumni, friends, faculty and staff.  The purpose of this program is to provide undergraduate Commerce students with resources to pursue their post-secondary education.  The number of and amount of each scholarship can vary each year.

Application Window

The scholarship application window occurs each year during the winter quarter.  Recipients are notified during the spring quarter. And the awards are distributed during the next academic year.  Students are notified by email  when the application window opens up.  It is important for students to keep their email address updated, in Campus Connection, to ensure they receive notice of the application window for the following scholarship categories:
    

Theresa M. Boyle Scholarship

For full-time undergraduate Commerce students (must be enrolled in 12.0 hours minimum each term) with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.  This scholarship was set up to help ease the financial burdens of full-time undergraduate Commerce students.  Selection is based on academic promise with other variables taken into consideration including: employment while in school, family status, and or other circumstances the student has overcome while enrolled in classes.  Financial need is a secondary consideration.

   

Joseph & Anna Capodice Scholarship

For full-time undergraduate Commerce students (must be enrolled in 12.0 hours minimum each term).  The recipient must have a proven financial need and be a student in good academic standing.  Need basis is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

   

James L. Czech Scholarship

For full-time undergraduate Commerce students (must be enrolled in 12.0 hours minimum each term) with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.  Consideration will be given to students who exhibit a financial need and are first-generation college students.  The following criteria will also be taken into account:  if the student is of Polish descent, has demonstrated a commitment to supporting the Polish community, has worked in or for the Polish community, or is dedicated to furthering the Polish cultural activities at DePaul University.  Need basis is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

   

Edward & Lucille Kemp Family Endowed Scholarship

For part-time undergraduate Commerce students enrolled in 8.0 hours or less each term. The recipient must have a positive academic record or manifested promise of outstanding academic success and a proven financial need.  Need basis is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

   

Gary Mingle Scholarship

The Gary Mingle Scholarship was set up to provide financial assistance to a student enrolled in the College of Commerce who is studying either Accounting or Finance. Student must demonstrate financial need and merit. Need basis is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

   

Fortis Investments Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide need-based scholarship support to a College of Commerce junior or senior. It is the donor’s preference that recipients of this scholarship have a stated interest (declared major) and show excellence in the fields of Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or Finance. Scholarship recipients may choose to, but are not required to, serve an internship at Fortis Investments. Need basis is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
   

John and Anastasia Graven Endowed Award for Excellence in Commerce

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Commerce and graduate students enrolled in the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business who are in good academic standing and have financial need.  The following criteria may also be taken into account when selecting the student:  Whether the student is of Greek descent; or has demonstrated a commitment to supporting the Greek community, or to working in or with the Greek community; or is dedicated to furthering the Greek cultural activities at DePaul.

   

Louis Charitable Fund Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to students enrolled in the College of Commerce who exhibit financial need and are in good academic standing.

   

Faculty/Staff Endowment Scholarship

For full-time or part-time undergraduate Commerce students entering into their junior or senior year; or graduate students entering into their second or final year.  Students must be strong academic achievers, in good academic standing and committed to DePaul University's Vincentian heritage.  Service to the community and to other individuals is a requirement to apply for this scholarship.
