Q. How can I speak with an advisor?
You may speak with an Academic Advisor by scheduling a half-hour appointment during regular business hours. Appointments are available in person and over the phone most weeks of the year. Please note that during registration cycles and during the first week of each term open (walk-in) advising is offered in lieu of appointments to help service more students.

Q. When do I declare my major?
You declare your major after you complete a specific list of classes as defined by the Academic Department that offers the major you want to pursue. Courses, grades, and GPAs needed to declare each major are noted in the Commerce section of the Undergraduate Catalog.
Q. How do I change my major/minor?
To change your major or minor, follow this path in Campus Connection: For Students -> Records and Registration -> Change College, Major or Minor. You will receive a follow-up email once you make any changes.
Q. When can I ICT?
You can submit an Inter-College Transfer (ICT) once you have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at DePaul University and have earned a minimum 2.000 cumulative GPA.
Q. Where do I submit my request for an ICT?
To complete an inter-college transfer, follow this path in Campus Connection: For Students -> Records and Registration -> Change College, Major or Minor. You will receive a follow-up email once you make any changes. If you are transferring into the College of Commerce, you must select an intended major to complete the ICT process.
Q. Can I take a class as Pass/Fail?
You may only take open elective classes as pass/fail. All other courses required for the Bachelor of Science in Commerce must be taken with the standard letter grading system.
Q. How do I apply for the Pass/Fail option?
You must apply for the Pass/Fail grading option prior to the third week of class. Applications for the Pass/Fail grading system can be obtained in the lobby of our office, DePaul Center, suite 8500.
Q. How can I get into a closed class?
The College of Commerce strives to maintain effective student-teacher ratios, therefore courses in the College of Commerce rarely take on extra students. If you are a senior entering into your final term of study, you must meet with an academic advisor to review the Closed Class Petition process.
