Q. When may I declare a major?
You can declare a major field of study after you have completed introductory business coursework and a minimum of courses required for your major. Junior standing (88 quarter hours earned) is also required.
Q. How do I change or withdraw a Major/Minor declaration?
To withdraw an officially declared Major or Minor you must first file a Withdrawal of Declaration form with the Commerce Undergraduate Program Office. Then, you must apply for your new major by submitting a new Declaration of Major/Minor Form with the College office.
Q. When may I ICT?
You can submit an Inter-College Transfer (ICT) once you have completed 12 credit hours in the college in which you are currently enrolled in and have earned at least a 2.000 GPA. For example: If you are a sophomore currently in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and you would like to transfer to the College of Commerce, you would be able to do so. However, if you are an incoming freshman or transfer student enrolled in the College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM), for example, and then decide to change to Commerce, you must first complete 12 credit hours in (CMD). After completing the 12 credit hours, you may then apply for ICT.
If you have NOT YET registered for classes, and you would like to change Colleges; you must notify the Office of Admissions in writing of your change in College.
Or, during your time at Premiere DePaul, notify the Office of Academic Enhancement of your decision. They can then notify admissions and have your program changed to Commerce from your original plan.
Q. Where do I get ICT forms?
ICT forms can be found online through Campus Connection and in DePaul Central (DPCL). Once this form is submitted to DPCL, you will be notified of your acceptance into your new college.
