Declaring a Major or Minor

Students who pursue the Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) must officially declare a Commerce Major, in their junior year, through the Commerce Undergraduate Program Office (CUPO).   If a student pursues a second major (or a minor) they must also officially declare that second academic plan through CUPO.   The form required to declare a major (and minor) can be found in the lobby of CUPO, in the Loop, DePaul Center, suite 8500.

Requirements for Commerce majors (and minors) are published in the Undergraduate Catalog.   Students should consult the Undergraduate Catalog to learn about the requirements needed for the major(s) and minor(s) of interest.

New students will receive a Curriculum Worksheet when they attend a New Student Orientation Program that will  identify which catalog version they are required to follow.

Note: Commerce students can also pursue a second major (or a minor) as offered by other DePaul Colleges and Schools.  Students must consult the Undergraduate Catalog for the official list of curriculum requirements in these other disciplines.

The following is a list of Commerce Majors offered to students entering the College of Commerce effective Autumn 2010:

Active students who are not sure about which catalog they are following should meet with a CUPO Academic Advisor.  Advising appointments can be made by calling 312.362.5358.
