The Commerce Undergraduate Program Office (CUPO) provides academic advising, to new and continuing students, through new student orientation programs, individual appointments, and open advising cycles. Advisors are available to discuss long- and short-term curriculum planning, program requirements, course selection, major/minor selection, and questions related to academic policy and procedure.
Academic advisors are assigned to students based on their last name according to the following alphabetical breakdown:
Students can meet with a CUPO academic advisor by appointment, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours most weeks of the year. Thirty-minute appointments can be scheduled by calling CUPO at 312.362.5358. Typically it is best to meet in-person with an advisor however phone appointments are also an option.
Open advising cycles occur the first week of each term (autumn, winter and spring) and the first week of registration for each next term. During open advising students are advised on a first come, first served basis. Students meet with the first available advisor. Contact CUPO at 312.362.5358 for more information on open advising services.
Use this checklist to prepare for your academic advising meetings. This list provides a general timeline as to when you should meet with an academic advisor to discuss academic related information.
