It is never too soon to start planning for life after graduation. Students can and should take advantage of a plethora of free services available through the DePaul Career Center. The Career Center publishes a quarterly newsletter to keep students informed about current job market trends, workshops to help explore career options, as well as general and specialized career fairs and events. They also provide access to job listings for both on- and off-campus positions. To learn more about what the Career Center has to offer visit their website: DePaul University Career Center. To search through current job listings go to DePaul Experience.
Internships are another great way to help bridge the gap between your academics and the world of work. Many employers list internship opportunities through the DePaul Career Center. In addition, the Career Center runs the University Internship Program that provides students with an opportunity to earn college credit while at the job site.
There are also some internship programs available through academic departments within the College of Commerce. Currently students can pursue internship credit through the School of Accountancy and the Departments of Finance, Management, and Marketing. For more information on each of these programs visit the respective websites.
