Strategic Risk Management Lab

The Center for Strategy, Execution and Valuation is proud to announce our latest initiative, the Strategic Risk Management Lab which provides an engagement platform and forum for thought leaders and practices leaders in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Strategic Risk Management.  The Strategic Risk Management Lab provides collaborative research in the Strategic Risk Management and ERM areas and sharing of best practices in Strategic Risk Management based on the extensive research on high performance companies in The Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation and the Return Driven Strategy Initiative.

Our executive forum “A Directors’ Primer on Strategic Risk Management was presented on Monday, October 27th at DePaul Center included keynote presentations by Dr. Mark L. Frigo, Director of the Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation, and Richard Anderson, Clinical Professor of Risk Management on best practices of high performance companies in Strategic Risk Management and a panel discussion by leading ERM practitioners who shared practical insights for connecting strategy and risk management and a best practices case study by Genentech.

Strategic Risk Management is an increasingly important responsibility of directors and management teams. In 2008, Standard & Poor’s initiated reviews of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs, with a focus on Strategic Risk Management and Risk Culture and Governance as part of its rating process.

Our 2009 offerings include quarterly executive forums for directors, executives and management teams interested in developing Strategic Risk Management as a core competency. These forums will include the latest diagnostics for assessing an organization’s ERM and Strategic Risk Management process and capabilities. Board members and organizational leaders involved in ERM and those advising boards and management in Strategic Risk Management can benefit from these seminars.
