Daniel Seiden - Adjunct Teaching Award
College of Commerce/Kellstadt Graduate School of Business
In 1995 DePaul University's College of Commerce/Kellstadt Graduate School of Business instituted the Daniel Seiden-Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award. This award is presented to the professor selected by the College's Teaching Committee based on nominations from the University community.
This award is named to honor the late Daniel Seiden who began teaching part-time in the marketing department at DePaul University in 1947 and continued to teach until 1998. Daniel was considered a charismatic and frank businessman who mentored scores of employees, at Armour Swift Eckrick, and his 50-year career at DePaul University. He was consistently among the highest rated faculty members by his students and his greatest contribution was his love of teaching and the way he contributed to the lives of so many students. Dan was so well regarded at the university that he was awarded the rank of professor emeritus, a rare honor for an adjunct faculty member.
