Established in 2004, the Center for Outreach and Assessment succeeds the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA), that had begun in 1991. CTLA initiated, coordinated, and supported programs, conferences and workshops that assisted College of Commerce/Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (KGSB) faculty to strengthen their teaching abilities, and achieve their own professional goals. DePaul University and the College of Commerce/KGSB remain dedicated to improving teaching effectiveness. However, reorganization of functions within the College of Commerce/KGSB has resulted in the redefinition of the focus of this Center. College of Commerce/KGSB faculty members are encouraged to consult their Department/School heads and College Teaching Committee representatives for further information. In addition, the DePaul University Office of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and the DePaul University Quality of Instruction Council each has a wide range of resources available to improve teaching effectiveness.
