In February 2012, Commerce alumnus and Life Trustee Richard H. Driehaus made the largest gift in DePaul history to support faculty excellence in graduate and undergaduate business programs. In recognition of Mr. Driehaus' $30 million committment, generosity, and vision, the University renamed the College in his honor as part of its centennial celebrations.

DePaul University is ranked one of the country’s top academic institutions for entrepreneurship education, according to Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review. DePaul ranked eighth in undergraduate entrepreneurship programs and ninth in the graduate program category.

Thanks to the generous gift of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the School of Hospitality Leadership has launched within the Driehaus College of Business. The University received its second largest private donation ever with this $7.5 million gift. DePaul now offers a bachelor’s degree in hospitality leadership;ongoing fund raising will support other related degrees and programs in the future.
